Look at the work of Bobby Neel Adams in relation to the idea of placing different family photographs next to each other. With the images you have start to think about different possible ways of presenting the images look at the examples shown they show a more graphical style of representation.
Photograph more people and get them to bring in old photographs of themselves to be used and experimented with.

Go back to stroud gren and look to take more close up detail shots with the aim of vretaing more collages. Go inside the cafe and take detail shots that can be compared and contrasted. Take more shots outside in the way you have done already. When there pick up anyflyer estate agent stuff ect that can be scanned in and printed out for further collage work. Create section on gentrification what it means the history of it make refernce to articles listed below http://www.theguardian.com/society/2016/jan/09/david-cameron-vows-to-blitz-poverty-by-demolishing-uks-worst-sink-estates Portraits of hacknet Zed nelson 6/01/16 Start to place images next to each other to show the comparisons within the one area. You still need to go out and photograph close up detail within the area look at the work of Barry lewis and Richard wentworth for examples of this. Get close and use depth of field to focus on small elements within the frame. Look at the work of KRISTY CHATELAIN in her Brooklynn changing series. http://www.theguardian.com/society-professionals/2014/jul/18/gentrification-what-happens-to-those-left-behind |

Look at the gentrification of an area and the specific struggles that this brings. Create a juxtaposition between the people coming into an area and the changes that they bring and the existing streets architecture shops.
Green lanes
Hornsey
Finsbury park
Hornsey rise running down from crouch end.
Photograph estate agents, coffee shops, restaurants, ect that show the comparison of the two.
Example - coffee shop compared to an old greasy spoon, old pubs against new bars. You need to start getting more close up detail that shows the environment and the differences between it. Photograph the owners the clientele etc so all can be compared and contrasted. Collect estate agenst documents adverts for housing give a good indication of an area.

Urban fashion photographers that can be looked at early on in the project.
gavin Watson
Boogie
Anna Victoria Best
Christophe Jacrot
Tobias Zielony
It is really important that you show your thought process visual brainstorms are a good way of doing this. At key parts in the project it breaks it up and explains where you have come from and where you are going.
If you are going to continue with the urban environment I think you need to get closer in at the moment the shots are of clean buildings and have lost the atmospheric feel that you had earlier on when looking at Rutblees's work.
Think about merging the two genres in the example shown

Curatorship: This is the same draft I marked before Paris
Paris: Can you include annotation?
Divide paris pics into themes using Bridge. Create contacts of each theme and enlarge favourite images.
Can you develop Paris pics into another fashion story?
- Little concerned about the departure from your main brief. Where have you written this by the way?
- I am also worried about the lack of annotation.
- I still think that some of the images of your friends would fit into a photo story including buildings. Have you tried grouping images from the two strands together.
- Please, please can you group images together and create slide shows. it's very difficult to follow the development with so many large images and such little annnotation.

Go to Canary wharf, Walkey Talky building with the aim of the capturing the city buildings that you can then compare and contrast to the images that you took in Paris and Berlin. and Barcelona. Look at the work of Marcus Lyon in his Brics series that looks at the rise of the new emerging BRICs nations in particular their capitals. Look at the work of James dishington from last year for more ideas and inspiration

Think about the idea of putting a narrative into your work look at the two examples of past students for ideas inspiration. You may want to think about linking the idea to literature or other artworks. Make link to the works of other artists in the way Grayson Perry mentioned in his talk. Aim to create a sequencial piece that involves the location and the person. Experiment with your cropping and framing.

I had to sort out your pages- there were too many tabs. Can you separate research from practical for unit 3.
You could create a Gif from layered images. Figures superimposed on your gritty backgrounds. http://www.dazeddigital.com/gifs

To reach your target you must annotate and analyse more effectively however, do this between the two exam days. However,I would advise that you look at the two photographers I have suggested and consider how they use colour. You could also look at Warhol's 'Death and Disaster series' does this help you finalise your ideas for the exam. Do you want to present multiples of the same image? At the moment it feels more like experimentation than progressing to one idea.

Complete all annotation through out the weebly making sure to create strong artist links that show how the work of different photographers have influenced your own visual practise, Artist and me sections are a good tool for this.
